MultiplexAI Honored at 4YFN / Mobile World Congress 2026
10/03/2026
Barcelona, 5 March 2026. MultiplexAI was honored by Cruz Roja Española through the Humanitarian Tech Awards during 4YFN at the 20th edition of Mobile World Congress 2026, where startups, investors, and technology leaders gather at one of the world’s leading connectivity events. The recognition underscores the growing importance of diagnostic solutions designed for real-world, resource-constrained settings.
Expert diagnosis, anywhere

MultiplexAI applies artificial intelligence to microscopy images, functioning almost like an Instagram filter for health. The technology helps detect parasites and identify disease patterns quickly and accurately, supporting faster and more accessible diagnosis.
Our system runs on a mobile phone or tablet connected to a microscope through a 3D-printed adapter, delivering expert-level results in real time, even without an internet connection. In many remote and resource-constrained settings, this can make the difference between exclusion and access to healthcare.
About the Red Cross Humanitarian Technology Awards
Founded in 2016, the Cruz Roja Humanitarian Technology Awards recognize projects that use technology in innovative ways to address social challenges and generate positive impact. In this 10th anniversary edition, the jury selected five outstanding initiatives across main prizes, a special mention, and the youth category.
Nine Institutions, Six Countries
Nine institutions across five countries in Africa and Europe form this consortium to validate this technology, supported by the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP3).
